Enabling the Future of Smart Energy at the Saudi Smart Grid Conference 2025

Gulf Power participated as a Gold Sponsor in the Saudi Smart Grid Conference 2025 (SASG), one of the Kingdom’s leading events focused on smart grid technologies, energy efficiency, and the future of the power sector. The conference was held under the patronage of the Ministry of Energy at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Riyadh from December 15 to 17, 2025, with the participation of industry leaders, experts, and key stakeholders in the energy ecosystem.

In the presence of H.E. Eng. Nasser Al-Qahtani, Assistant Minister of Energy for Electricity Affairs, the conference highlighted the latest advancements shaping a more efficient, reliable, and sustainable energy future in Saudi Arabia.

During its participation, Gulf Power showcased its latest smart grid solutions and advanced energy technologies, reaffirming its commitment to supporting the transformation of the energy sector and contributing to the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 through innovation and sustainability.

The conference also served as a key platform for collaboration and partnership development, where Gulf Power announced the signing of two strategic agreements on the sidelines of the event, reinforcing its focus on sustainable solutions and technology localization.

Alkhorayef Industries signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Swedish company Againity to integrate Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) technology into its power generation systems, with future applications focused on waste heat recovery and conversion into clean electricity, reflecting a shared commitment to more efficient and sustainable energy solutions.

In addition, Alkhorayef Industries signed a strategic agreement with Baker Hughes to become the official packager of the high-efficiency NovaLT™ gas turbine product line, supporting industrial localization, enhancing operational efficiency, and advancing sustainable energy development in the Kingdom.
